Los Anglese Photo Diary

We absolutely had to stop off at an In-N-Out Burger. This one and only indulgence was in Barstow, California.

Adding to our world tour of Din Tai Fung Dumpling House. We've been to the one in Singapore, Sydney and Seattle. This one is in Arcadia and it was a good as always.

We happen to park across the street from the uber hip Standard Hotel on Sunset Boulevard, so we decided it could be a good start to our evening of bar hoping on the Sunset Strip. The lounge was hilarious with desert image walls and barracuda fishes hanging from the ceiling.Standard Hotel Pool AreaStandard Hotel LobbyStandard Hotel Lounge

Old school Hollywood gem Formosa Cafe. Recommended by local Brandon, he gets an A++ for cluing us in on this great late night hangout. Situated in an old box car diner, lined with signed Hollywood pictures, display case of ceramic Elvis figurines and an alter to what looked his Elvis' sunglasses. The drinks were stiff and had a locals only feel.

We would highly recommend flying in and out of Long Beach. With a new terminal and the LBG is so much easier than LAX, Burbank or John Wayne. Plus you can get a final Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf Green Jasmine Dragon Latte and Pinkberry in Long Beach's cute little downtown before heading home.
